Safe Landing

(EXIF Data)
Living in a marina, we obviously have many aerial visitors. Recently, a few young seagulls have appeared to explore the area, providing me with lots of neat opportunities to capture their actions on ... well, sensor, I guess.

Tough life, this is.

Waterproof Raindrops

Waterproof Raindrops, originally uploaded by Coldnorthtoy.
This is a part of the cover for our steering wheel and pedestal. It is made of Sunbrella or similar, and as such, is waterproof, and as such, the droplets sit neatly on its surface.

I really was amazed at the number of interesting - though small - things I could see from within the confines of the cockpit.

The Rainy Blues

The Rainy Blues, originally uploaded by Coldnorthtoy.
Since I have to start somewhere, I might as well start with the photo I've chosen to include in my sidebar.

On this particular day, August 13, I finally set up the awning over our sailboat's cockpit, but not before everything was thoroughly soaked - including me.

As I hid under the awning enjoying the sights and sounds of an incredibly forceful downpour, this caught my eye; it just looked so amazing, so I ran in and got our camera and started shooting.

Every time I see this picture it amazes me.
